I've had the opportunity to teach sophomore studio at both UArts and Parsons. Being given the opportunity to open the door for the first time to the subject matter of industrial design with students is one of the more enjoyable teaching experiences.

Instilling joy in the design process is important at this stage. I ask students to turn away from assumptions, to forget about a final outcome and focus on each step anew while developing an ability to ask intelligent questions based on their own observations.
